Our ministry for children helps families pass on faith to their kids. We do this by:
1. Partnering with parents to help them in the process of raising children.
2. Creating a exciting learning place for children at church so kids can develop in their relationship with Jesus.
3. Having family fun times where parents and their kids can enjoy each other and build friendships with other families.
Jesus placed significant importance on leading children to Him when He said (in Mark chapter 10), "Let the children come to Me and do not forbid them." We have an important task to bring up our children to follow Jesus.
Psalm 8 tells us "From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise..." We help you and your children walk in Jesus' footsteps.
In each kid-friendly service children encounter God in ways children can understand. In Kids Church (grades 1-5), children experience God through worship, praise, giving, games, and a message which challenges kids to live up to all that God has for them. In our preschool (age 3) through kindergarten, kids learn about Jesus in a fun-filled setting using Bible stories, learning centers, music, and games. Our Nursery (3-12 mos), Toddler 1 (age 1), and Toddler 2 (age 2) is where our littlest ones learn the love of Jesus through age-appropriate songs, stories, activities, and through the loving care of our caring volunteers.

Due to the rapid growth in our children's area, the preschoolers will be divided up into their age groups and rotate through different areas of our preschool segment. This will allow us to give more age-specific teaching, better discipleship for your children, have more room and fun, too! It is our goal that children of all ages will live in Union with Christ by Grace, and this will better help us accomplish that goal. For questions, please contact Pastor Bob Poley at (314) 892-2757.
Kids Outreach Events: You can always invite friends, but these days are especially planned to include children as guests... Easter-egg hunt, a day built around friends and fun Easter games; Trunk or Treat, an awesome evening in October with costumes and candy.
Mission/Service Projects: Book Drive to provide books for Story Link, a ministry that helps parents who are in prison record a story and send the book and recording to their child; Birthday Buddies Party: a birthday party for needy children in the Foster Care system; Operation Backpack Food Drive, a food drive specifically for kid-friendly food to benefit needy children whose only decent meals might be the breakfast and lunch they receive through their schools.
Family Activities: Each of these activities is geared toward the entire family (all ages) participating together. These activities will include visits to Ice Cream Parties, Magic House Family Night; Incredible Pizza, and City Museum, plus a family movie/game night.
